Client rights as a client of a psychologist

  • The right to make informed decisions about any aspect of your treatment, management and care

Client responsibilities as a client of a psychologist

  • Taking responsibility for your treatment and care
  • Turning up for scheduled appointments
  • Informing your psychologist if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment (refer to ‘Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy & Fees’ section)
  • Not attending any appointment in an intoxicated state from alcohol/drugs
  • To apply learnings/skills from sessions to your life situations between appointments
  • To provide feedback to your psychologist when you are satisfied or unsatisfied with a psychological service
